Software Engineer

Description

We are seeking to add a motivated engineer to work from our East Greenwich, RI office, who is excited to participate within a small growing company to help maintain and develop new features of our award-winning SaaS platform.

The successful candidate will have experience taking features from concept to deployment for a SaaS application; be knowledgeable of product scale and cloud infrastructure; be able to adapt to changing requirements and priorities.

The candidate must be fluent in written and spoken English, and have the ability to work in a small, dynamic team environment based in our East Greenwich RI office. You must be authorized to work in the US. We are not just looking for employees, but people committed to growing with us through the years. It is a plus if you have a 4-year college degree, but no degree is required. We are looking for the right independent problem solver who is passionate about coding.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience developing web applications using the Java programming language
• 5+ years of experience writing and optimizing SQL queries
• 3+ years of experience developing cloud hosted software.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Excellent listening, fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Can solve code problems, and develop code features, independently
• Creative and passionate about their coding and the quality of their work
• Ability to work on a small team, flexible to adapt to changes as we grow, and be dependable

Knowledge of the following is an advantage

• Eclipse Vert.x
• RxJava
• Reactive programming
• Javascript frameworks

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development of our company’s SaaS product
• Backend database application development
• Frontend application development
• Test and release production code based on company policies
• Contribute to product development planning and roadmap
• Other duties as assigned

Compensation

• Up to $118,000 salary (or based on experience)
• Participation in annual bonus program
